Elliptical Trainers: Speaking of Beneficial Exercising

Today's technological market offers its consumers all possible types of exercising machines that meet any possible demands. Treadmills, rowing machines, exercise bikes, stair master machines etc. All of them have their related pros and cons, but if you are looking for something more beneficial than the above mentioned, which combines multiple exercising techniques, consider elliptical machines to be the best possible alternative.
Elliptical Machines: Types & Benefits
Elliptical/cross trainers are typical stationary machines for exercising that emulate stair climbing, walking, or running without causing too much pressure to the joints, which, in its turn, decreases any impact injuries risks, than any other machine for exercising. Elliptical has surpassed other exercise machines in popularity mainly due to its moving handlebars alternative that increases upper body workouts, which is good for preventing osteoporosis and weight loss. Generally, elliptical trainers are divided into three types, categorized by motor or drive location:
  • rear-drive type (the oldest design);
  • front-drive type (second generation design);
  • center-drive type (latest design technology);
Ellipticals have become the fastest growing fitness equipment category due to their beneficial features, which are incorporated in the following advantages:
  • support exercising in a comfortable standing position (spine - in neutral position, weight - well-distributed);
  • provide a weight bearing workout and prevents osteoporosis;
  • minimize knee injuries aggravation;
  • ensure continuous & smooth controlled motion;
  • provide an impressive range of hip flexion, hip extension, and knee motion; tighten, tone, and strengthen your entire body;
  • excellent post-rehab exercise machine
Because of the variety of ellipticals on the market, finding the right commercial or residential grade X-trainer might be difficult. But still, if you've decided to buy an elliptical trainer, look for the one with a heart rate monitor, minimum 21-inch (53 cm) stride length, and with both adjustable incline and resistance. Besides, it is always better to consider in advance how many pre-set programs you need, which influences the variety of workouts you may have. And remember - purchasing an elliptical machine for your home is better than waiting for one at the gym!
Moreover, as opposed to treadmill, ellipticals are highly recommended for exceedingly overweight people, heavyweight athletes or people with severe joint issues. Running puts great stress on the lower body joints, therefore treadmill is exceedingly dangerous for these groups of people as it can result in serious knee or ankle injury. And that is when elliptical trainer can be a perfect substitute that will keep your joints safe and your muscles working.

Get A Good Back Workout At Home - What Will It Cost?

Getting a decent back workout is still one of the ways gym-goers justify exorbitant monthly gym membership fees. It's true that many people don't have the necessary space at home to keep enough equipment. If you plan to make a home gym or already have one, let's look at how you can maximize your back workouts and at what cost.
Pulling Your Weight
If you are just starting out, a sub-$50 doorway pull-up bar is all you need to get a good upper-back workout at home. The style popularized by the P90-X training program that fit between doorways are ideal as they afford you a variety of grips. An improvement from here would be a $150 vertical knee-raise unit with pull-up bar as it's higher up and can support more weight. This is especially useful if you want to add resistance with a dipping belt and weight plates - doorway pull-up bars or your doorway itself might not be up to the job!
If You Are Really Serious, Get A Power Cage
A $350+ power cage lets you train with barbells to failure without having to worry about safety. You can drop the barbell and it will land on the safety bars on each side. This lets you train your back to failure with bent-over barbell rows, stiff-legged deadlifts and standard deadlifts, especially if you use wrist straps so that your back fails before your grip gives out. Power cages have pull-up bars at the top in the center or at the front and will be the strongest possible pull-up bars you can have at home.
Modify Your Power Cage
Choose a cage with a pull-up bar that allows for wide, narrow and neutral grips. This will let you target most muscles in your upper back, shoulder and biceps. Most power cages have the option to include weight stacks and pulley systems. This is a space-saving way for you to do lat pull-downs and seated rows. Looking online these days there are some incredible discounts of almost 70% on lat pull down machines but not all of us have the space for free-standing machines at home. Having a dedicated pull down machine would be great, but it's much cheaper to have a $100+ pulley system built onto your power cage.
Do You Have Room For Extensions?
Having your own back extension bench can seem pretty tempting when you find one online for a 70% discount. The trouble is that these benches are single function and take up quite a lot of space for just one exercise. Most people invest in a high-quality adjustable bench and then use the foot plates on their power cage's pulley stack to steady themselves while doing extensions. You have to put the bench flat and width-ways inside the power cage. This isn't ideal as it doesn't afford you the same range of motion as an extension bench.
Give Yourself Room To Grow
If you have the space for a power cage at home, then you've all the space required for a killer back workout. A power cage will last your lifetime and never give out on you. The cost of getting a great back workout is just the cost of the cage, barbells, plates and pull system. This equipment will stand you in good stead and let you grow all you need.

Benefits of Rowing Machines Vs Other Cardio Machines

Rowing Machine, Exercise Bike, Treadmill, or Elliptical Trainer?
When it comes to choosing a type of exercise equipment to focus on it can become a daunting task. Nobody wants to choose a rubbish piece of equipment that will fall apart and not help them get the most out of their fitness routine. There are so many questions that need to be asked when it comes to deciding what exercise gear to purchase and use. Not everyone has access to a personal trainer and lack some of the basic knowledge when it comes to choosing the right exercise equipment, so questions most certainly need to be asked. Just don't decide one day to buy a treadmill to lose some stomach fat without asking questions! I'm here to shed some light on some of the questions you may have based on my experience, opinions, and scientific facts.
Oh, and I'll let it be known right now that I love rowing machines and I'm going to talk them up... and of course explain why.
What are some of the rowing machine benefits?
A lot of people tend to instantly go with the hype and pick what is currently popular. I see the average person who isn't a fitness buff say things like, "I really need to get a treadmill and lose some weight." or "I think I'll pick up an exercise bike and burn some calories." I very rarely hear anyone new to fitness say they are thinking about purchasing a rowing machine (also known as a rower). It seems people just go after what is commonly known, like treadmills, exercise bikes, and to a lesser demand elliptical machines. Now don't get me wrong, all three of those are great and certainly better than nothing, but what about a rowing machine? Why isn't it getting a popular eye?
Let's first compare the top three cardiovascular (cardio) based exercise equipment. Exercise Bikes, Treadmills, and Elliptical Machines. All three give you a cardiovascular workout, but which one will burn more calories? Let's compare.
Exercise Bikes Vs. Rowing Equipment
If you are 170 lbs and use an exercise bike moderately for 60-minutes you can burn up to 570 calories. Exercise bikes are great for cardio and are a smart addition to any sort of diet or strength building plan.
Treadmills Vs. Rowing Equipment
Treadmills are easily one of the most common pieces of exercise equipment. If you are 170 lbs and were to use a treadmill for 60-minutes running at 5 mph on a 0% incline you could burn 670 calories. Keep in mind that treadmills do not offer a low impact workout and are hard on knees and joints.
Elliptical Machines Vs. Rowing Equipment
If you were to use an elliptical machine for the same 60-mintues at a moderate resistance you could burn 525 calories, this is also assuming you are 170 lbs. Elliptical trainers are considered a lower impact workout and are better for those with bad knees, joints, etc.
Of the three "common" exercise equipment the elliptical machine offers the lowest calorie burn rate. However all three are pretty close when it comes down to it. Each piece of equipment have their little pros and cons, like lower impact workouts and sitting vs. standing. Now let us take a look at rowing machines.
How Many Calories can Rowing Machines Burn?
If you use a rowing machine for 60-minutes and are 170 lbs like in the previous examples, you'll burn 688 calories with moderate effort. Do you notice all three are pretty close seem to when it comes to burning calories? However, calories are not everything when choosing exercise equipment. Here are some great reasons to choose a rowing machine over any other cardiovascular workout equipment.
  • Cardiovascular workout: A rowing machine will raise your heart rate and increase oxygen uptake. This will help build stamina and improve your lungs. It's going to just plain make you feel better overall. A rowing machine in my opinion does this better than any other cardio exercise equipment. I always feel much better afterwards when compared to running on a treadmill. This is because a treadmill will spend more energy to use.
  • Burning calories: Rowing machines and treadmills both have about the same calorie burn rate, but as mentioned before, a treadmill is a high impact method to burn calories. Some people, if they have bad knees, can't even use a treadmill. I'm not here to bash running, running is great and I still love to run... just not on a treadmill. I'd much rather use a rowing machine for calorie burn and gain all of the extra bonuses they offer.
  • Low risk: Rowing machines workouts are low impact, putting minimal stress on the joints and keeping the risk of injuries low. There's no risk of falling because you are seated and provided you are using proper rowing form your lower back will not be strained.
  • Upper and lower body workout: My favorite benefit and what tips the scale is how much extra conditioning for the upper and lower body a rowing machine gives the user. You work the rhomboids, lats, biceps, trapeziums, pecs, abs, quads, calves, hands, wrists, and buttocks. That is like a full body workout right there! If I'm spending an hour a day using an aerobic piece of exercise equipment then I might as well use a rowing machine and get all these extra benefits.
Summary: Choose a Rower? Yes!
Rowing equipment is gaining in popularity, but they are still put on the back shelf when someone looking to buy exercise equipment is bombarded by treadmills, exercise bikes, and elliptical machines at retailers. I think once common knowledge spreads and it's understood how much more of a benefit a rower can be, then people will hop on the bandwagon.
Rowers are affordable and offer a full body workout with minimal impact. They burn more calories than the other top three cardio machines. Using a rowing machine for 60-minutes a day will not only drop pounds off of you, but will also tone your body. You won't be the hulk, but you can gain nice muscle tone. I can't think of any reason to not want these extra benefits. I should also mention that using a rowing machine is fun and therapeutic. I always feel better and never feel like I've been brutally beat after my workout. The only pain you'll feel is the next day, that great sore pain that let's you know it's working. I stay thin, in shape, feel great, and I can do it all in front of my TV! If you are in the market for a cardio workout machine, then please consider a rowing machine first. I don't think you'll regret it.

Ways to Stay Fit While Traveling on Business

In today's busy corporate environment, it can be very difficult to keep fit and healthy especially if your work requires regular travel. If you're in a role that requires significant travel both out of town and especially overseas, then you'll know what I mean that it can be difficult and sometimes (seemingly) impossible to keep up with a regular travel fitness routine.
This is evident, when you're overseas in a foreign country on business that you're unfamiliar with - having little to no real knowledge of where the local gyms are located, not to mention being preoccupied with preparation for meetings, conferences or any projects that your work requires of you.
I know how it feels - you Google " Gym [insert your city]" - and up comes several gym options that are local to you; you try to find the easiest directions via walking, taxi or whatever. You may even go on the said gyms website, check out price, quality, and what gyms there are. Depending on where you travel, whether it's a third world country or a very highly developed one, the range and quality of equipment will drastically vary. Personally, I hate this level of uncertainty, and I want to stick to a regular routine and quality of equipment to use.
That's why I now advocate that travellers who want to keep fit take a piece of equipment with them. But what equipment may you ask? It has to satisfy several criteria:
1) Be light and portable: This is a caveat for travel, you don't want to be lugging a 24 pound kettle bell in your backpack and trundling that through customs do you?
2) Be simple and easy to use: Who wants to take out some complicated contraption that requires pins, springs and rubber bands to help setup? Plus, you don't want to waste time setting up when you want to slot in an exercise session
3) Be reliable: Durability is essential for long term use. Always stick to the good brands that people vouch for.
In stating that, from my experience, the TRX suspension trainer meets all three requirements. If you haven't heard about this nifty piece of equipment, to give you a brief it was developed by an ex-navy seal who needed to help keep his troops in shape when on the road. Hence you can rely on the effectiveness and durability of such an instrument.
The TRX trainer is simply two large suspension straps that can be adjusted and fitted to a door, or wrapped around a tree branch. Best of all, the resistance is your own body weight, and can be adjusted depending on the positioning of your body. The key feature of this kind of work out, is that it emphasises a full body exercises and utilises your core to maintain stability.
So, all in all, if you want to keep fit when travelling, give the TRX suspension trainer a go.

How To Climb Up The Fitness Ladder

Ever since we recommended walking, jogging, inchstepping, cycling and swimming as excellent aerobic activities in our fitness columns, we have been inundated with calls from readers asking us several questions. And each and every one has two questions that they constantly put to us:
Which one of these aerobic activities is the most effective one? and
Which one should I choose?
To answer the first query: all these exercises are equally effective provided you do them in the recommended time-span at the required intensity four to six times a week.
There is one more point we would like to clarify. If you have noticed, we say 'four to six times a week.' Yet, our score-sheets show the number of days as five. This is because not everybody is the same. Some may prefer to exercise one extra day and earn bonus points. If so, go ahead! Another may feel that by not exercising in the two days out of seven, they find it that much more difficult to go back to exercising after a day's rest. Such persons may even want to exercise all seven days to keep the momentum going. There's no harm in it. It depends on how much your body can take. In such cases, keep an old fitness phrase in mind: train, don't strain.
Now, to come to the second query. It requires more consideration because it depends on: your physical condition, your mental state your outlook, your circumstances, your taste.
The How Fit Am I? personal survey in Chapter 4 would have also given you an insight into yourself, About your leisure habits, attitude. And you are aware that any advice or tip or programme that you pick up and follow from this book will only make it better.
On a very broad basis, we would answer the question Which exercise should I choose? with a simple: "Whichever you enjoy the most." That is a very good starting point. However, don't waste time pondering on it. If you really want to know, clear your mind by taking a brisk walk! Meanwhile, we will give a short analysis of each activity to help you make up your mind.
Jogging: Jogging or running outdoors is fun, inexpensive and the quickest way to get results. Make sure you have thick-soled keds - as jogging on a hard surface can cause a jarring effect on your feet, ankles, knees, hips and spine. The thick soles cushion you from such shocks and potential orthopaedic problems. Jogging works out your arms and legs and toughens various muscles. However, it is not recommended if you are extremely overweight or have any medical complaints such as back pain, high-blood pressure or a heart problem.
The ideal jogging conditions are plenty of open space, large grassy surfaces and fresh air. If you live in such surrounding, you are, indeed, privileged! Otherwise, there could be a few avoidable hazards. If you are jogging on pavements, look out for potholes that could materialise below your feet. Simultaneously, watch out for low-level branches of trees that could hit your face. Most of all, don't jog where there is heavy traffic alongside you. Those traffic fumes contain carbon monoxide which is dangerous to your health. One more problem - a novel one - was narrated to us by a regular jogger. He had street dogs following him, barking and snapping at his heels!
Our advice is to jog in a well - maintained, organised park where the conditions are ideal.

Daily Fitness Tips For Women

Todays fitness tip is easy. RELAX! Thats it, that is the tip of the day. It is important to take time for yourself and make sure that you actually relax. Built up stress can make it hard to lose weight, and also has other harmful effects on your body. Too much stress can lead to high blood pressure, as well as throwing off your normal sleep patterns. Although exercise is an excellent way to decrease stress it is also important to have some time of relaxation.
There are many different ways you can relax, but incorporating even five minutes into your every day routine will result in many positive benefits for your health. Having quiet moments throughout your day will result in more mental clarity and the ability to focus for longer periods of time.
Practicing Deep Breathing exercises when waking up, such as those that are part of many Yoga regimens, are a great way to start your day in a place of calm. Another great time to practice relaxations techniques is right before bed. While lying in bed try to relax every part of your body to make sure there is not built up tension in your muscles. This will help to sleep better and deeper.
Waking up and going to bed are not the only times that your body could use relaxation. During the day stress accumulates, an easy way to stop it is to take even a ten minute break. If you find yourself becoming stressed during the day, whether at work or at home, try to take five to ten minutes for yourself away from others. Try to work in a quick walk- around the office, around the block, or even around your living room. Clear your head and do not include others in this special alone time. You will be surprised that you will feel more like working and be ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

8 Juicy Fitness Tips a Using Punch Bag

The punch bag is great for fitness strength training. Boxers, MMA fighters, martial artists, soldiers, and other professionals use the boxing bag, not only for fighter training, but for fitness training. The modern day punching bag has been around for over 3000 years! Let us extract 8 fitness tips from this great tool that has been around for ages. After all, it's been around for a reason right?
#1: When you hit the heavy bag, move around with it. Hitting the bag alone is a great fitness exercise but you'll really get a great workout when you move around with the bag.
#2: Take advantage of the swinging bag. Duck, block, move away from the bag. Ducking and kneeling are tiring acts. If you're fitness training, you should focus on the acts that make you tired. Kneel down to avoid the bag hitting you in the face. This will really help build your fitness and endurance.
#3: Change up your punches. Hitting the punch bag in a variety of different ways will wear you out. It will allow you to workout different muscle groups.
#4: Put on boxing equipment. If you're wearing full boxing gear, the workout will be a lot tougher. If you're training for a fight, this will simulate ring conditions very closely.
#5: Use the boxing bag for interval and intensity training. Slow down and speed up when you hit the punching bag. Time yourself while you're training. You might want to go hard for 2 minutes, and then stop and start again after another 2 minutes. Essentially, train in rounds.
#6: Put your body into it. Just because you're using a heavy bag doesn't mean you have to punch it! In fact, now there are muay thai bags that are longer vs the standard boxing bag. During your fitness boxing workout, maximize your combos. Grab the bag, punch it up close, put your knee into it, shoulder, etc. There are also grappling bags for this as well that don't hang on a chain!
#7: Use your legs. When you're training with the punch bags jump around. Ever notice how boxers in a ring are hopping all the time. First of all, it's intimidating if you're in the ring with someone who is hopping around like mad. Then on the other hand, you can't tell whether he is going to move right or left. It also keeps your muscles flowing. So when you're training on the heavy bag, jump around. Get the most out of your fitness workout by doing this. Training on the bag this way is just like a fitness aerobic exercise.
#8: Hit the boxing bag in a variety of different places. Punch in an upwards direction, downwards direction, straight, uppercut, use your elbows, etc. Hitting the bag in a different spot will wear you out. It is the ultimate fitness exercise to do this. When you punch up or kick up vs. down, you workout different muscle groups.
The best fitness training is one where you are constantly doing different movements. A boxing fitness workout isn't the same if you're always just doing the same thing - i.e. running on a treadmill. Studies have shown that changing things up during your workout has amazing results for gaining strength and endurance.

Fitness Motivation Tips - 5 Clever Ways To Trick Yourself Into ...

Tired? No motivation? Don't feel like exercising right now? BUT... you keep looking in the mirror and don't like what you are seeing? Well, if you are looking for fitness motivation tips to get you up off your butt and start sweating, then this article is for you! However, I'm now going to yell, cuss, and fuss to get you pumped up. I'm going to share with you 5 pretty clever (and simple) ways you can actually "trick" yourself into exercising... even when you don't feel like doing something as simple as walking to your kitchen (lol)!
1. Go to youtube.com and type one of the following into the search bar: For men, type in pre-workout motivation. For women, type in female fitness motivation. Pick out at least 2 videos that are as relevant as possible to those search terms I mentioned a second ago. Watch those videos and then watch how much motivation you'll get to get up and get to work on improving your body!
2. Like to watch T.V.? Think I'm about to call you a couch potato and a lazy do-nothing? Don't worry, I'm not going to insult you! What I'm talking about here is taking your leisure time and turning it into a productive time for improving your body!
During every commercial break with a TV program or every 10 minutes during a movie, stand up and do 2 body weight workouts for 5 repetitions each! For example, you could do something like 5 jumping jacks and 5 push ups. To make it more fun and interesting, switch it up each time (i.e. - burpees, mountain climbers, lunges, squats, run in place, etc.).
To put this into perspective, let's say you watch 3 one hour T.V. shows throughout the day. During each show, there are let's say 5 commercial breaks. That would be a total of 15 commercial breaks for 3 shows. Now let's say you decide to do the 5 jumping jacks and 5 push ups. After watching all 3 shows, by the end of the day you would end up with 75 jumping jacks and 75 push ups!
3. For starter's, if you don't like going to the gym, you DO NOT HAVE TO! You can get an amazing body working out at home. You can use little equipment or no equipment at all with doing body weight exercises. Now, what I recommend you do if you do exercise at home is to make working out as easy as possible to get started with. Out of all the fitness motivation tips, this is probably the most important one. The reason why is because most of us usually don't have the motivation to START working out. Most of us are pretty okay with continuing and finishing a workout.
Now, to make things as easy as possible, what I'm talking about doing is making sure you have space readily available for you to start exercising, making sure you have whatever it is you use during your workout setup and ready to use, etc.
4. Listen to your favorite blood pumping music! There are certain songs that generate an adrenaline rush in me that provides a ton of energy... and what better way to utilize that energy than with exercising! I strongly recommend that you create a playlist of all your favorite songs that get's you pumped up. Play this music when you don't feel like exercising and watch what happens! Of course you also want to play this music while you workout as well to keep you energetic and motivated during your workout.
5. Change phrases. Instead of saying "I got to workout today", switch that around and say "I'm going to workout today". Saying "I got to workout today" makes exercising sound like a burden and saying "I'm going to workout today" makes it sound more like it is a part of your daily routine!
So, if you want easy fitness motivation tips to get you out of that mentality of making excuses and skipping workouts, then I highly recommend you give those 5 simple techniques a try. They worked great for me and now I'm at the point where I get upset if there is even a possibility that I may end up missing a workout!

Fitness Tips - Useful Advice to Make You Fitter

To achieve optimum overall health, it's important to have an exercise regimen in place. Seeking out fitness tips to make the most of your workout can help you achieve weight loss and fitness goals, as well as maintain overall wellness. From running to Yoga, there are many ways to stay fit. It's important to realize fitness is about more than exercise, though, if you want to be at your best fitness-wise.
When putting together a workout regimen, it might be a good idea to discuss it with your doctor or get advice from an expert such as a personal trainer. Whatever you decide when it comes to your workout, seeking out fitness tips from experts is always a good idea. Figuring out the type of workout you'll enjoy most is also wise. The simple fact is, the more you enjoy your workout, and the more likely you are to consistently do it. If you enjoy Yoga or Pilates, that should be the core of your workout, but if you are more active, you might consider running or swimming as your basis. Whatever you decide, keeping in mind reasonable goals and guidelines will help you avoid injury in the workout process.
Another key component to overall fitness is nutrition. You can't very well achieve total wellness without nourishing your body appropriately. Any fitness tip will mention nutrition and diet as a key part of fitness. Without proper nutrients, exercise can damage your body. Losing weight isn't the only thing to consider with exercise. You must consider your body's overall wellness.
Fitness tips can come from doctors, trainers, fitness instructors, or even friends and family. It's a good idea to seek an expert's advice when embarking on an exercise regimen. Keeping in mind your limitations and goals will allow you to find the workout that's right for you.

4 Festive Christmas Fitness Tips

Keeping fit over Christmas is tough. The cold, dark, icy weather, the unhealthy foods and the regular flow of alcohol can all put a rapid halt to your fitness regime. However, you can make sure that the festive period does not completely derail your fitness efforts by following the 4 Christmas fitness tips in this article.
1) DO SOME EXERCISE:- With all the additional Christmas commitments eating up your time and the festive weather not providing the best conditions for exercise, you often find that your activity levels drop during this time. However, if you are willing to get a little creative you can make sure your activity levels do not grind to a halt this Christmas. For example, whilst the weather is not conducive to traditional forms of exercise it does make alternative winter exercises (such as ice skating or sledding) possible. Exercise DVDs and Wii fit are also great, time efficient indoor exercises that you can take advantage of if it gets too cold outside.
2) EAT SOME HEALTHY FOODS:- Healthy foods are in short supply over the festive period and often make way for less healthy treats such as Christmas pudding and mince pies. However, there are ways to avoid Christmas becoming a complete dietary write off. Try starting the day with a healthy winter breakfast of eggs, natural yoghurt or fruit. When it comes to snacking do not always reach for the mince pies. Instead try some smart snacks such as dried fruits and nuts. When preparing a Christmas dinner try to ensure there are some healthy options available such as healthy homemade soup, a wide selection of vegetables or a healthy fruit salad.
3) GET SOME SLEEP:- Sleep is key for good health. It helps you concentrate during the day, improves your memory and supports proper growth. However, getting adequate amounts of sleep over the festive period is difficult. The numerous Christmas parties and other family commitments often cause the amount of sleep you get to be compromised. So to make up for this try to get a few hours extra sleep when you have some free time. Perhaps, you have a free afternoon where you can fit in a quick nap? Maybe you have a quiet evening where you can get to sleep a couple of hours earlier than usual.
4) MAINTAIN A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE:- Mental health is just as important as physical health. The winter weather can bring with it an unpleasant mental state called seasonal affective disorder (SAD). SAD is a type of depression caused by the low sunlight levels during the winter months which affects approximately 7% of the UK population. Fortunately, SAD is treatable and there are numerous other things you can do to boost your mood during the festive period. If you think you are suffering from SAD then purchase a light box and use it 2 to 3 hours each day. Combine that with some mood boosting foods (such as dark chocolate, nuts and tea) and you should be able to navigate the entire festive period with a smile on your face.
SUMMARY
As I said at the beginning of this article keeping fit over Christmas is tough and in most cases the cold weather, the Christmas treats and the extra alcohol will have some kind of impact. However, if you follow the advice in this article you can minimise the impact of these festive temptations on your fitness levels.
